Mark L. Skarpness is vice president in the Software and Services Group and director of datacenter system software for the Open Source Technology Center at Intel Corporation. Mark leads a global engineering team responsible for open source engineering supporting the datacenter market, including networking and storage open source engineering, containers, the Clear Linux Project, open cloud OS engineering, OS vendor (OSV)/cloud service provider (CSP) enabling, and scripting/web platform development and W3C standardization.  Mark also represents Intel on the Node.js Foundation board of directors.
